Notice on Legal Compliance and Our Care System
At Akira International Clinic, we operate in accordance with Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) guidelines as an insurance-covered medical institution. The following policies and systems are in place.
Acceptance of Patients with Fever or Suspected Infectious Disease
We accept patients with fever and other symptoms suggestive of infectious disease, regardless of previous visits.
To prevent transmission, we separate patient flow by space and/or time and maintain routes that keep febrile patients apart from other patients.
Long-Term Prescriptions (28 Days or More)
Depending on your medical condition and life circumstances, we can issue prescriptions for 28 days or longer.
Whether a long-term prescription is appropriate is determined by the physician at the time of examination. Please feel free to consult us.
Our “Primary Care” Functions
As a clinic providing primary care, we offer the following:
- Consultations on health checkup results and overall health management
- Referral to appropriate specialists or hospitals when needed
- Guidance on using nursing care, public health, and social-welfare services
- Limited after-hours/holiday telephone support
- Medication management informed by prescriptions and visit records at other facilities
Note: Clinics with “primary care functions” can also be searched on the MHLW or prefectural medical information portals.
Use of the My Number Card as a Health Insurance Card (“MyNa Reception”)
We support use of the My Number Card as your health insurance card (“MyNa reception”).
With prior registration, you may not need to present a separate certificate for out-of-pocket maximums and can receive care more conveniently.
The official “MyNa reception” sticker is posted in the clinic.
Telemedicine (Online Medical Care)
We provide telemedicine in accordance with MHLW facility standards.
- We maintain an adequate clinical and technical setup for safe online care.
- No psychotropic medications are prescribed at first visits conducted online.
- Physicians assess each patient’s condition carefully to ensure safety and appropriateness.
In line with the national push for medical DX, we will utilize services such as electronic health-record information sharing and e-prescriptions to further improve care quality.
